Flying Cows of Jozi is excited that one of our capable teams of passionate senior BEd students will assist our new client Siyavula in bringing the Digital Maths & Science Practice Project to schools in Gauteng. They will support maths and science teachers in using technology in teaching and assessments through the use of the Siyavula online platform.
The Siyavula Digital Maths & Science Practice Project provides 113 Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) schools free access to the Siyavula Practice service for maths and science learners and teachers.
This project seeks to support improved learner performance in Maths & Science by supporting teachers and getting all learners to do at least 25 practice questions on the Siyavula platform every month.
Over the next few months the Flying Cows of Jozi coaches will visit selected schools on a weekly basis to support teachers in using technology in their teaching and assessments through the use of the Siyavula learner and teacher tools. For this team we’ve selected 4th years and Honours students who major in STEM subjects as well as ICT in Education. They look forward to putting their expertise into practice and contribute to the success of the project!
